Three Doors Down’s Brad Arnold Reveals Stage 4 Kidney Cancer Diagnosis, Cancels Tour

Date:

Brad Arnold, the lead singer of rock band Three Doors Down, has announced he is battling Stage 4 kidney cancer, forcing the band to cancel their upcoming tour. The 46-year-old revealed the diagnosis in a heartfelt Instagram video, stating that the cancer, identified as clear cell renal cell carcinoma, has spread to his lungs.

“I’ve been feeling sick and went to the hospital. That’s when I got the diagnosis,” Arnold shared. “It’s Stage 4, and that’s serious, but I believe in a mighty God who can overcome anything.” Despite the news, Arnold expressed courage and faith, assuring fans, “I have no fear.”

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma is the most common form of kidney cancer, originating in the renal tubules that filter blood and produce urine. Standard treatments include surgery, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.

Arnold’s message concluded with gratitude and a nod to the band’s 2008 hit: “I think it’s time for me to go listen to It’s Not My Time a little bit. Thank you for all the memories so far.” He asked fans to keep him in their prayers, calling on “prayer warriors” for support.

Fellow musicians including Chris Daughtry, Jason Aldean, and Scott Stapp sent messages of love and encouragement, with many expressing faith in Arnold’s strength to fight the disease.
