UAE and EU Leaders Advance Talks on Landmark Trade Partnership in Abu Dhabi

President Sheikh Mohamed and European Council President Antonio Costa discussed advancing a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and the European Union during a meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Both leaders emphasized that the trade deal would mark a new era of cooperation, fostering stronger economic ties and promoting growth for both regions. Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the importance of the ongoing negotiations and expressed confidence that the agreement would benefit the people of the UAE and the EU alike.

The discussions also covered regional stability, with both leaders stressing the importance of maintaining the Gaza ceasefire and ensuring humanitarian aid reaches civilians. They reiterated support for renewed international efforts toward a lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

Antonio Costa, on his first visit to the UAE as European Council President, reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through trade, dialogue, and security cooperation.
