Sanaa’ to premiere at Santa Barbara Film Fest

Date:

Director Sudhanshu Saria’s latest film, ‘Sanaa,’ featuring Radhika Madan in the lead role, has secured its North American premiere at the prestigious Santa Barbara International Film Festival, making it the sole Indian film to be showcased at the event.

Expressing his gratitude, Saria remarked, “I am deeply honored by the festival’s decision to include ‘Sanaa’ in its lineup and introduce the film to North American audiences. Their enthusiastic response underscores the film’s universal themes and the pressing need to foster dialogue on female agency and autonomy, particularly within the American context.”

Renowned Hollywood luminaries and Oscar-nominees such as Brendan Fraser, Cate Blanchett, and Colin Farrell are slated to grace the festival this year, adding to its allure and prestige.

‘Sanaa’ delves into the narrative of an ambitious and resilient woman grappling with internal turmoil stemming from unresolved trauma. Alongside Radhika Madan, the film features a stellar cast including Soham Shah, Shikha Talsania, and Pooja Bhatt.

Following its successful World Premiere at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, where it garnered widespread acclaim and drew packed audiences, ‘Sanaa’ continues to captivate audiences and garner critical acclaim on the international stage.
